THE HEYLOBUDDY PLAYBOOK
Pen FightRules, tips & a good first game.
A school-desk showdown with just enough physics to turn a bold flick into a mistake. Knock the other pens off the desk while keeping yours safely on it.
YOUR CONTROLS
Drag back from your pen and release to flick. For a more deliberate shot, adjust Angle, Power, and Spin and use the Flick button.
Take your seat
Pick a pen and choose a computer game or online room. In multiplayer, share the room code and wait for your friends. Players take turns. Let each shot finish moving before deciding on the next one; the board must settle before the game accepts another flick.
Win a round, then the match
A pen that leaves the desk is out for that round. The last pen still on the desk wins a point. The first player to win three rounds wins the match. If a shot leaves no pen on the desk, there is no surviving player to award that round to.
Aim with the whole desk in mind
A maximum-power shot is not always best. If your opponent is near an edge, a controlled tap may remove them while leaving your pen in the center. A glancing hit can send your own pen sideways, so watch the contact angle as well as the target.
Choose power and spin
Try a low-power opening shot to learn how your chosen pen slides. Increase power for a distant target, then experiment with spin after you understand straight shots. The aim controls provide a useful alternative when precise dragging is difficult on a phone.
A couple of good questions
Why can I not flick?
It may be another player’s turn, a shot may still be animating, or the round may have ended. Check the turn indicator.
Is the computer another person?
No. Solo mode uses a computer opponent. Online rooms are for people with the invite code.
