YOUR CONTROLS

Type in the four answer boxes. The facilitator handles the letter tiles, settings, answer review, and Bank points button.

Set up the room

The facilitator creates a room and shares the eight-character code. Players join on their own devices with a display name. Choose 5–26 letters and a round length of 30, 60, or 90 seconds. The game shuffles the letters; the facilitator reveals a tile to begin each round.

What makes an answer valid?

Each answer must start with the revealed letter and fit its category. For B, Bella, Boston, Bear, and Bottle make a complete example. Agree before starting whether fictional names, abbreviations, or alternate spellings count. The facilitator reviews answers and makes the final category decisions.

Understand shared points

A unique valid answer earns 10 points. Matching valid answers in the same category divide those 10 points equally. If two players write Boston, each earns 5 for Place. If three write Bear, each earns about 3.33 for Animal. Capitalization and extra spaces do not make an answer unique.

Finish the round together

Submit when finished, or wait for the timer. The facilitator reviews the room and clicks Bank points to score everyone. After points are banked, reveal another letter. Try filling every category before replacing a common answer with a more unusual one; a blank cannot earn points.

Returning to a match

Rooms are available for 24 hours. Keep the original browser so it retains your player identity. Returning to the game room or switching tabs does not pause the shared clock. If settings are temporarily unavailable, wait for the connection to recover before creating a replacement room.

A couple of good questions

Do matching answers always score zero?

No. This version splits 10 points between the players with that valid answer.

Does everyone need an account?

No. A room code and a display name are enough for this game.
