YOUR CONTROLS

Roll from the turn panel, tap a board tile to inspect it, and use the buy, auction, trade, build, and mortgage controls when available.

Move around your city

Roll two dice and move clockwise. Passing City Start awards $200. Doubles give an extra roll, but three doubles send you to Detour. All money in this game is fictional; property names are part of the theme rather than real investment opportunities.

Buy or auction

An unowned property can be bought for its displayed price or sent to auction. Everyone may bid, including the player who declined to buy it. Bids rise by at least $10, and passing withdraws you from that auction. Save enough cash for rent on the next part of the board.

Build a color set

Owning both properties in a color doubles their empty-lot rent. Build evenly across the set, from one to three houses and then a hotel. Inspect the rent table before paying for a building so you can compare its cost with the income it might bring.

Trade and manage cash

A trade can exchange one property from each side plus cash, and the other player must accept. Sell buildings before trading or mortgaging that color. A mortgage pays half the property price and stops rent; redemption costs the mortgage amount plus 10%.

Detours and friends

Leave Detour by paying $50 before rolling or trying for doubles. After three failed rolls, pay and move using the third roll. Play solo with computer opponents, pass a device around, or create a room for friends. This is a simplified HeyloBuddy adaptation; its displayed rules govern this version.

A couple of good questions

Can I change the city?

Select the city in setup before starting a match.

Is any real money involved?
