THE HEYLOBUDDY PLAYBOOK
Buddy DashRules, tips & a good first game.
A 30-second playground sprint packed with hurdles, beams, blocks, and coins. Your rivals are computer-controlled, so you can start a race without creating a room.
YOUR CONTROLS
Use arrows or WASD to change lanes, jump, and slide; Space also jumps. On a phone, use the on-screen buttons or swipes. Press P to pause.
Read the obstacle
Jump over a hurdle, slide under a beam, and change lanes to avoid a solid block. Watch the next obstacle as soon as you have handled the current one. A useful lane now may lead directly into a different obstacle a moment later.
How the finish is decided
The race lasts 30 seconds. The greatest distance wins, and coins break a distance tie. Coins are useful, but repeatedly hitting obstacles to collect them can leave you behind a rival who chose a cleaner route.
A first-run strategy
Choose a buddy, wait for the playground to load, and spend the first run learning the obstacle shapes. Keep to one lane until an obstacle requires a change. Once jumping and sliding feel natural, start planning a path through coins.
Pause and device performance
Use the pause control when you need a break from this solo race. The game renders a 3D scene, so close other demanding tabs if animation becomes choppy. Sound begins only when enabled and permitted by your browser.
A couple of good questions
Are the other runners online players?
No. The three rivals are computer-controlled.
What matters more: distance or coins?
Distance decides the finish first. Coins break ties.
