THE HEYLOBUDDY PLAYBOOK

Arrow EscapeRules, tips & a good first game.

A colorful tangle with a simple goal: make enough space for the red arrow to escape. The first move is often at the edge of the board, far from red itself.

Quick challengesSolo · 36 levels and a daily puzzleFree browser game

YOUR CONTROLS

Tap or click an arrow. Use Hint for a nudge, Undo to reconsider a move, and Restart to begin the same puzzle again.

Follow the arrow tip

Each arrow follows its own path and exits in the direction its tip points. It can leave only when the space ahead is clear. If another arrow blocks that route, free the blocker first. A blocked tap costs no lives, so you can explore the board without losing the puzzle.

Work inward from an opening

Look along the outside edges for an arrow pointing into open space. Removing it may release the arrow behind it, which can open a third route. Trace this dependency back toward red instead of tapping arrows at random.

The red arrow is the objective

You win when red escapes. You do not need to empty every other arrow from the board. Before removing a long chain, check whether a shorter route can free red directly. Undo is useful when you want to compare two possible orders.

Adventure and daily play

Adventure contains 36 levels with up to 108 stars to collect. The daily puzzle offers a different challenge alongside that progression. Progress stays in this browser. There is a timer for your run, but the game does not impose lives or a countdown deadline.

On a phone

Tap an arrow once and let its movement finish before choosing another. The departing arrow should visibly travel along its route. If the board is crowded, start by identifying the arrowhead so you do not mistake a bend for its direction.

A couple of good questions

Must I remove every arrow?

No. Freeing the red arrow completes the puzzle.

Will a blocked tap end my run?

No. There are no lives to lose from blocked taps.
